(Just a sample
of some of the sights and pleasures the island has to offer)
Kenting
(southern-most tip of the island)
Taiwan's first national park was established at Kenting. Kenting has
white sandy beaches, lush tropical forests and, not surprisingly,
the warmest winter weather in Taiwan. After the sand and surf you
can visit the Forest Recreation Area , a wonderful place with spectacular
look-outs.

Taroko
Gorge (central east coast)
The most beautiful and majestic of Taiwan's national park systems
is Taroko Gorge. It is a marble canyon featuring a rushing whitewater
river, towering cliffs, hiking trails and even the odd hot spring.

Keelung
(northern east-coast)
Keelung is the third largest port in Taiwan turning it into a prosperous
city and an international seaport where many foreigners pass through.
It has good restaurants that are famous for their fresh seafood. Ummm,
delicious.
